Wide grayscale strips at about 6 m per pixel. CTX has imaged nearly all of Mars, so it is the best way to see the setting around a HiRISE image.

The product this atlas lists

EDR, experiment data record (PDS3, raw). Raw camera data, not map-projected. JMARS projects it for you when it renders the stamp. In other tools it needs processing first, for example with USGS ISIS.

ODE product type: MRO / CTX / EDR.

Open one in JMARS

  1. Open JMARS. It is free from ASU at jmars.mars.asu.edu.
  2. In the Layer Manager, click Add New Layer, then Imagery, then Image Sets, then CTX.
  3. Expand Basic Parameters with the down arrow on its right.
  4. Type the image ID in the Image ID(s) field. Use the full ID, for example P02_001820_1984_XI_18N282W.
  5. Click OK. The search can take a few minutes.
  6. Right-click the image outline in the viewing window, then choose to render the image.
